Three key documents signed
During an official ceremony in Kuala Lumpur, key representatives from both organizations formalized the partnership:
A Master Agreement was signed by Mr. Long Haiyang, Chairman of CC7, and Mr. HJ Mohamad Zunaidi Bin Kadir, CEO of CHAZ Group. This agreement grants CC7 exclusivity to execute the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED), with optional exclusivity for Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) phases of the project.
A Technical Alliance Agreement designates CC7 Europe as CHAZ’s official technical partner, responsible for developing and supporting all technical aspects of the project.
A Letter of Award for Phase 1 was signed by Mr. Filippo De Pace, CEO of CC7 Europe, and Mr. HJ Mohamad Zunaidi Bin Kadir, covering the feasibility study for the project's initial scope, including a large-scale tank storage terminal and integrated refinery and petrochemical facilities.

Building momentum
The CHAZ Project aims to establish a state-of-the-art terminal with a storage capacity of over 3 million metric tons and a deep-water jetty to facilitate global oil import and export operations. This Mega Project will significantly enhance Malaysia’s strategic position in the global petrochemical sector.
Following this historic signing, CC7 Europe has continued to build momentum. On November 19, 2024, CEO Filippo De Pace signed the official contract for the CHAZ Phase1 Feasibility Study, solidifying CC7 Europe’s role in leading the early development stages of this vital infrastructure.
Thaer Kanjo, Head of Project Management at CC7 Europe commented that "This milestone is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and expertise of everyone involved. We are proud to support CHAZ in delivering this landmark project and advancing Malaysia’s position in the global energy and petrochemical landscape."

Entry into Malaysian market
The collaboration with CHAZ represents CC7 Europe’s first major project in Malaysia and signals a bold entry into the region. As the project evolves, it positions CC7 Europe as a trusted partner for innovative, large-scale EPC+ solutions in Southeast Asia.
“This is a defining moment for us,” said De Pace. “It underscores the trust our clients place in us and reflects our commitment to innovation, excellence, and growth. We’re thrilled to bring this vision to life, together with CHAZ and our dedicated teams.”
CC7 Europe looks forward to delivering on its promise of pioneering solutions that bridge today’s energy needs with tomorrow’s sustainable opportunities.
